Angiolipoma

  • Typically small, subcutaneous and tender

  • Sheets of adipocytes with abundant clear cytoplasm and minimal variability in size and shape

  • Peripherally located small monomorphic nuclei

  • Prominent capillary-sized vessels with fibrin thrombi

  • Molecular pathogenesis distinct from conventional lipoma (PMID: 9130991)
